I love to mow the lawn on Saturday's. The smell of fresh cut grass is just so intoxicating. It's the perfect Saturday morning task to get my weekend off on the right track! It's also just so delightful to see the immediate result of what I have just done. No waiting, it's just there. Immediately. Instant accomplishment. Instant satisfaction. There is also an overwhelming sense of peace that overtakes me right after turning off the mower. Suddenly, I hear the birds singing again, the children in the year next door, and all that other space in between that has been for the past while obscured by the hum of the mower. All that has returned and I hear it as if it didn't exist before. And I have the satisfaction of a freshly mowed lawn on a Saturday morning.
